KMIA Brief Historical Background

Khadijah Mohammad Islamic Academy Inc., (KMIA) was conceptualized last April 23, 2010, by a group of Bangsamoro Muslim educators and civic-minded leaders whose main works and aims are to support and respond to the increasing demands on the Islamization of knowledge in the Muslim in the Philippines.   

KMIA adopted a multi-discipline curriculum, based on the needs of the Muslims in the Philippines, particularly in the ARMM now BARMM. This suits and answers the prevailing issues and current trends in education that will comply with the priority programs of the Philippine government and that are by the teaching of Islam.

The establishment of KMIA was in commemoration of the wife of Prophet Mohammad (SAW), Khadijah who happened to be the first woman to accept and follow the teaching of Islam and Mohammad was also adopted to replicate his practices and teachings that brought peace and prosperity to the entire humanity that demonstrate excellence contribution to the history of humanity.

Khadijah and Mohammad’s excellent characters symbolize universal values and morals that can be brought world understanding, and peace, and taught every individual that authentic knowledge is revealed to guide humanity.  Their great and noble work will guide and shape the young mind to attain truth and justice.
